LUNCH & LEARN: Health Rhythms Facilitative Drumming

Ever wonder how it is that our heart beats entrain as much as our breaths with the pace and tempo of the music we hear and make? Discover and experience the health benefits of communal drumming circles to engage your heart, your body and mind in the joyful spirit and expression of improvisational drumming. Neuroscience today continues to unearth the benefits that drumming and chanting have in helping to alleviate our stress response, to enhance our communication and interpersonal skills, and channel emotions. Place your personal and creative expression into the power of the drum to explore alternative ways to express and inter-play with sound versus words, which sometimes are difficult to find and difficult to convey deep human experience. Come drum to beat of your own rhythm and explore the restorative and joyful aspects of communal drumming for yourself personally as well as within the context of building a positive sense of connection and community with others. Contact Kim at the (403) 239-1502 x:100 to reserve your spot today. Catered lunch included.
