Chairman's Message

Warm greetings from the Bearspaw-Glendale Community Association.  Our Staff and Board members have been consistent, enthusiastic and very committed to be the very best our facility can be for Bearspaw and surrounding areas. They are knowledgeable about the community and are well connected to life in Rockyview.

I would like to thank my wonderful colleagues on the Board for their support and continued commitment to BGCA throughout the year:  Darcy, Jason, Kari, Natasha  & Steve.

From a financial perspective, BGCA’s goal each year is to use the available financial resources in a highly efficient manner such that BGCA can continue to provide the much needed services to the community that it has for many years. BGCA again achieved that goal this past year.

BGCA continues to remain in a financially stable position due to the facility operations, grants, generous contributions of our funders, combined with the efficiency and dedication of the Board, volunteers, staff and management of BGCA. BGCA is extremely grateful for the financial support received from key funders & Family and Community Support Services.  Additional funding is provided from numerous organizations, businesses and service clubs. This funding provides supplementary support to our core services, and also presents opportunities for additional, unique service provision.

The BGCA volunteers, our unsung heroes, are incredibly dedicated to support BGCA and our programs. We are so grateful to them for their commitment to BGCA and the members we serve together. To all of our wonderful volunteers – thank you for your support and hard work!  We cannot do our work without your help.

Credit must be given to the hardworking and dedicated staff members who deliver the services to our members and community … you make us all tremendously proud to volunteer with this organization. The day-to-day work would not be done without the passion and determination of our incredible staff: Darren, Keith, Kim & Siroun. Special thanks always to Maureen Unland who leads our annual fall Christmas Market with tremendous ability and skill.

It is a pleasure to be part of this great organization.
